Complete Decongestive Therapy and Manual Lymph Drainage

WHAT IS THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM?

The Lymphatic System is a part of your body’s immune system and thus has an important role in keeping your body healthy. The lymphatic system consists of a full-body network of lymph nodes, vessels and organs that work together to move lymph (Lymph is a clear fluid containing infection-fighting white blood cells) through your body. Lymph flows through vessels, removing toxins, waste and other harmful elements from your body and moving them into the organs to be eliminated from your system.

The lymphatic system is your body’s defense against disease, infection and a build-up of toxins. The white blood cells it carries produce antibodies to kill the bacteria, viruses and other harmful microorganisms while, at the same time, collecting waste and eliminating it to restore your health.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE LYMPH FLOW BECOMES BLOCKED?

When a healthy Lymph Flow stops working, it is usually due to a buildup of fluid and toxins, or an overload of waste, that cannot be eliminated. Your body propels lymph through your system through normal everyday activity. Inactivity and recent bodily changes may be leaving your immune system compromised. This results in a blockage and the lymph flow becomes sluggish or even stops. If the lymph flow is disrupted, it cannot deliver infection-fighting white blood cells or remove harmful waste in your body. Incidentally, surgery or other damage causes fluids to build up in your lymph system. Lymph blockage can also be a result of post-surgery swelling and sports injuries. Many diseases and auto-immune disorders are also a result of a poorly flowing lymphatic system.

HOW TO RESTORE THE LYMPH FLOW?

The number one Indication that your body’s lymphatic system may not be functioning properly is excessive swelling which occurs in various parts of the body. Sometimes the swelling is obvious; other times it may not be as noticeable. You may notice a tightness in your body, clothes may feel too small, or watches and jewelry become too tight to wear. This lymphatic congestion exposes your body to infection and many auto-immune diseases. I can help restore your lymph flow with partial or full complete decongestive therapy (CDT). The goal of this lymphatic flush is to restore flow of the lymph and reduce physical suffering. Call me today to schedule your appointment now. Your wellness is my passion!
